The EGAC accreditation symbol and the IAF MLA and ILAC MRA marks are used only for accredited scopes, in the form EGAC approves, and always with the accreditation number. Standard badges are GQCL marks and do not represent ISO or IEC.
Who we are
One independent body for four assurance needs
GQCL certifies management systems, validates and verifies greenhouse gas statements and environmental claims, certifies the competence of professionals, and inspects equipment, products and food operations. Each service operates to the international standard for its type of conformity assessment: ISO/IEC 17021-1, ISO/IEC 17029 with ISO 14065, ISO/IEC 17024 and ISO/IEC 17020.
Our role is to assess fairly. We never provide consultancy on what we certify, and every decision is made by competent persons independent of the assessment.
Our verification work includes the first independent greenhouse gas verification of the Port of Tripoli in Lebanon, conducted to ISO 14064-1 and ISO 14064-3.
Accreditation
Accredited by EGAC, with EIAC accreditation in progress
All four of our services are accredited by EGAC, the Egyptian Accreditation Council, a signatory to the IAF and ILAC international arrangements: management system certification, GHG validation and verification, certification of persons and Type A inspection. In the UAE, GQCL holds a Work Activity Permit issued by EIAC, and our application for EIAC accreditation is in progress.
